Welcome,
The fact that you are here shows your inherent courage and strength
Reaching out to a therapist can be incredibly scary, anxiety-provoking, and intimidating. This is why any meaningful therapeutic work begins with establishing trust, safety, and a genuine relationship.
Why choose to work with me?
One of my main roles throughout our work is to help you feel understood, seen, and comfortable to express vulnerable parts of yourself over time. One of the best indicators of meaningful change in therapy is the quality of the relationship between therapist and patient. I pride myself in helping each person who walks through my door feel deeply seen and accepted. Only then, can the therapy relationship offer new ways for people to trust, grow, and thrive.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is based on treating each individual as a whole person, not merely a collection of symptoms or diagnoses. Based on my experience, the more individuals know and understand themselves deeply, the more likely they are to have an opportunity at a more authentic, fulfilling, and satisfying life. Therefore, self-awareness and self-reflection are valued in better understanding how we have come to experience the world, others, and ourselves. After our initial sessions we will, in collaboration, identify what is getting in the way of the life you want and relieve your suffering. I will also offer my thoughts and insights throughout our work to help you get where you want to go. In other words, I will not sit back and be a passive observer in our work together, but an active participant in the therapy process.
